ABOUT DOG DAY TRAINING
At SHIELD K9 dog training school, we provide flexible, multi-day training programs tailored to meet your dog’s specific needs and goals. Whether you are dealing with behavioural issues or simply want to improve obedience, our programs are designed specifically for your dog.
Your dog will benefit from the expertise of two dedicated trainers, who will work closely with them throughout the day. These trainers will form a strong bond with your pet, ensuring a positive and productive training experience.
As part of our dog day training program, you’ll also receive two private sessions—one in the middle and one at the end of the training period. These sessions are key, as we will show you how to effectively communicate with your dog and reinforce their new skills at home, ensuring lasting results.

They will build a bond with your dog and train them throughout the day. You, as the owner, will also receive two private lessons with this package to help you make the most of your dog’s day training.

WHAT YOUR DOG WILL LEARN AT DAY DOG TRAINING
Ready to have a well-behaved dog both on and off the leash? Our dog day training program covers essential commands like on and off-leash recall, sit, down/stay, and place. We address every aspect of control, making sure your dog is manageable and enjoyable to live with, even in distracting environments. Many behavioural issues stem from confusion and a lack of clear direction, and we’re here to guide your dog toward a more harmonious life with you.
At SHIELD K9, we focus on helping your dog master self-control and navigate its environment and social interactions confidently in a healthy and productive way. Once training is completed, you’ll receive a private one-on-one session with our expert trainers. During this session, we’ll equip you with the skills and techniques needed to effectively communicate with and manage your dog or puppy, ensuring a better relationship moving forward.
This includes:
- Learning how to reward and motivate your dog.
- Learning your dog’s new commands.
- Correcting undesirable behaviours and reinforcing/rewarding desired behaviours.
- This will be approximately three hours of instruction, depending on the dog and the program.
